Twenty-Seven Second Thought.

“You, dearest, are one of the few candles lighting up this dim universe we’re forced to recognize as reality. Thank you for allowing me to immerse myself in the concept of complete and sincere acceptance. You are the first person who’s ever challenged me when I’ve thrown the gauntlet— the gauntlet that demands you leave, for every individual’s departure from another’s life is an inevitability. The more I push, the closer you seem to come.

Thank you. For that and more, I really do love you.”

Wrote this in a response to a friend’s blog.

—What would you say to someone when you only have twenty-seconds to live? I’m pretty damn sure I wouldn’t be in the proper mental state to say something as drawn-out as the above, but hey, the same spirit would still be there.

This is for you. Maybe when you come back, I’ll have the courage necessary to tell you this.. and more.
